Six Thinking Hats

Six Thinking Hats is a book by Edward de Bono which describes a tool for group discussion and individual thinking involving six colored hats.The main idea is to wear one hat at a time the wearing of the hat is metaphorical .And considering a problem, look at the problem at hand from only one perspective, the perspective indicated by the hat colour.
This method forces to move outside the habitual thinking style, and helps to get a more rounded view of a situation. It has the benefit of blocking the confrontations that happen when people with different thinking styles discuss the same problem. Each 'Thinking Hat' is a different style of thinking. Often, may fail to look at a problem from an emotional, intuitive, creative or negative viewpoint.

Yellow Hat :
It is helps to think positively.
It is the optimistic viewpoint that helps to see all the benefits
Yellow Hat thinking helps to keep going when everything looks gloomy and difficult.
White Hat:
With this hat you focus on the data available and look at the information you have to learn from it.
Look for gaps in knowledge, try to fill them .
Analyze past trends, try to extrapolate from historical data.
Red Hat:
When wearing the red hat you look at problems using intuition, gut reaction, and emotion.
Also try to think how other people will react emotionally.
Try to understand the responses of people who do not fully know your reasoning.
Blue Hat:
The Blue Hat is used to manage and control the thinking process.
Black Hat:
Using black hat thinking and look at all the bad points of the decision.
It is helps to highlights the weak points in a plan.
Black Hat thinking helps to spot fatal flaws and risks before you embark on a course of action.
Black Hat thinking is one of the real benefits of this technique.
Green Hat:
The Green Hat stands for creativity.
This is where you can develop creative solutions to a problem.
